Really fantastic toy for the price. I have had some of those mini RC helicopters before, and honestly for twice the price of one of those this heli is well worth the price. The steering takes a little getting used to, think of it as a hover craft rather than a car on wheels. You get the hang of it in no time, and a charge seems to last a good 10-15 minutes. Plus, and this is a huge plus, there are no batteries to replace accept in the controller. he helicopter itself charges from a wall outlet. The craft is a pretty good size, around 16″ long I would guess. The lights on the craft are awesome, it has 2 on either engine in the back, and a red and green one underneath it. I have been buzzing this thing around my house ever since Christmas, it is to much fun. The only thing I would say to perspective buyers is the steering is not dead on precise but it is tons better than the cheap RC copters out there, and is very easy to use.

Okay, I bought this helicopter on a whim. I’m currently serving in Iraq with the US Army and every once and a while (rarely), we get some down time. My battle buddy has a few smaller RC helicopters which she flies every once and while. I had one of those before but they just go up and down, maybe a few circles but that’s it. I wanted a RC helicopter because I love flying, and I have about an hour down time before I go to bed. So I got the Chinook because it’s a Chinook. 2 blades are better than one, right? It came in and I was surprised by how big it was because I thought it was going to be small. I was also concerned with the fact that the rotors are loose (no worries, this is suppose to be like that, it flies fine with the rotors like that.) The instruction booklet is poorly translated but its not that complicated. I finally took out for the first time and it was AMAZING! I didn’t have to set the trim or anything! It flew like a dream and everyone was impressed with it! Even my battle buddy who says its ten times better than hers! It only takes a minute to get use to. I was even able to get it to land and fly to my hand. It has great control and it last longer than those smaller helos (we tested that out…). I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS. This wouldn’t be so great for someone younger but it is definately a great buy. I’m highly impressed! Once I get home from my deployment I plan to buy a few more just in case they stop producing these things. Hands down coolest rc helo for the price. Oh yea, did I mention it’s durable? IT IS!

This thing is well worth the price, it is TONS of fun. Everyone wants to fly it. It’s great to set-up landing areas and scenarios and stuff. My buddy shot at it with a Nerf gun (anti-aircraft) and it was awesome. You can knock it out of control by shooting the rotors in the right place. But it doesn’t break it.
It has some serious lift; blows a crazy downwind, magazines and newspapers will fly around. It’ll carry a weight of two spoons under it, impressive I think. It will take off real quick if you go full throttle. And it’s surprisingly precise, I can regularly land it in about a 2×2 foot square.
It’s also very durable, I have beat the crap out of it running into stuff, and it fell from almost power line height outside and didn’t break.
It marks things a little bit if you run into the walls, but rarely. If you have pure white walls you might see a few black marks, but I haven’t seen much.
Charges in about 30 minutes, flies for about 10 minutes.
Only gripes are that the charger it comes with is pretty cheap (I got a better Li-Po charger after that one broke) and that the controller sometimes loses contact. But that’s rare.

Delivered by UPS yesterday, right on time. Charged the battery up, took it outside, and flew it like a champ the first time! This chopper is absolutely GREAT! I cant believe anyone would pay the 30 bucks for a tiny airhogs chopper, when for 20 more you can have this great thing! Hover mode is easily achieved,forward and reverse a piece of cake. The responsiveness of the controls is instant. I flew it up and down my street at ranges of close to 60 yards, and no control lag was noted at all. This thing is a ton of fun! I bought the micro version last week, and this large one is much easier to fly! I am ordering another one for my 9 year old son, as he loves flying as well. He is a much better pilot than I am, as he demonstrates regularly on my micro chinook.
This is a much better chopper in my opinion than the 170.00 E-flight choppers! If you buy this one, you will never regret it!

My only complaint with this product is the 15-or so inch-long antenna wire that hangs off the bottom. If I’m not careful it can get caught in the rotors and crash hard. The Chinook is all I expected it would be and I like that it charges from the outlet not the controller, so it’s lite on battery consumption.

my boys (4,8,10) and their friends have played with this toy 5 out of 7 days since we got it. at one time, we had five kids (4,8,10,11,11) all playing at once! the downhill gives lots of speed. they’ve built ‘rings of fire’ out of hangers and legos for the cars to jump through once they fly off the ramp. they’ve tested all their other hot wheels cars on it, figuring out which ones are best, figuring out how to tweak the track to maximize speed. (little lessons in physics.) i love the fact that there few pieces and they are so basic. in the end, just what i was looking for: lots of (creative) fun, modest price, compact storage, and assembled such that we wouldn’t immediately break or lose pieces. MUCH better than a big fancy set.

Most Hot Wheel games look so much fun on the cover of the box or when set up in a commercial but lack the fun when you set them up at home. This one actually hits the mark. I was reluctant to purchase, but my son was having a Toy Story theme for his 7th Birthday. With the use of a book to hold the landing ramp, my seven year old was able to connect 7 out of 10 times, with the three misses so close that it really entertained him. If the ramp had more weight or had the ability to be more stable it would be perfect, but I know this is cost prohibitive. All in all of all the Hot Wheels items I have purchased, this one is the best. Simple always works best!

My six year old got this for Christmas and absolutely loves it! Simple assembly and he loves putting it in different rooms in the house. Of course it works well with other Hot Wheels products too. Lots of fun and great value!

its fine except the ‘car’ we recieved has no where 2 attach ‘buz’ to.. i complained , amazon was wonderful and sent me a new one for free, and still no where on the car to ‘attach’ Buz to,, my son is still disappointed

The loop the loop is standard Hot Wheels product and is fine. Unfortunately the car is poor quality and the one we received would not make it through the loop (even though many other of our cars did fine). I would not recommend this set.
