I bought this as a gift for my 5 year old special needs son. The size is fantastic, the controls are perfectly organized and the toy itself is really durable. I am really impressed with the value of this toy and will be buying more!

This truly is great for a child’s first remote control car. The police siren is great! Not too loud and it really gets my grandson’s attention. The two-button remote control is easy for him to operate and hold. Batteries easy to replace and last a really long time in both the car and the remote control. NO SPECIAL SCREWDRIVER NEEDED: Just a small phillips is all it takes. Highly recommended! We bought the police car, fire truck, construction loader and school bus. The soft body makes it safe for both child and furniture!

Bought this one for my 17 month old nephew and he absolutely loves it. Bought the lady bug for my niece and she loves it also. The police car had a problem with it on delivery and the customer service was outstanding, sending a new one to my sister immediately.

I purchased this as a gift for my 2yr old nephew. My sister says he loves to carry the car around, but has not used the remote himself. He prefers at this time for my sister to use the remote, while he follows behind the car! This is currently his favorite use of the car.

For $20 it’s hard to complain. Real RC vehicles are at least 10x that much. Still, I wouldn’t buy another one. Sadly, I only learned this after I already bought three of them for different kids. And all three (different models) worked the same and had the same limitations.
The biggest problem is the range – about 10′. It’s also intermittent. Once in awhile, it will work from farther away. But it also fails from very close.
It is not powerful enough for most carpets. Works pretty well on hard floors. Even had trouble on asphalt driveway.
It’s also loud and annoying. I ended up taking it apart and snipping the wire to the speaker.
All three kids lost interest pretty quickly. It’s just not reliable enough for a kid’s short attention span. They have too many toys that work every time.
